Rackmount Options for a Dell 1950
Dell 1950 Installation Overview
The Dell 1950 is a 1U Rackmount Server. Dell has designed a new slide rail kit for the 1950 that has improved on slide rail kits of previous PowerEdge Servers. This new slide rail kit is able to to install into any type of 4Post Server Rack regardless of whether the rack has square or round holes. This feature is accomplished by an assembly that can rotate to accommodate any hole type.
Some types of installations may have obstruction issues with this new slide rail. In these cases there are several options that are available as alternatives to the Dell 1950 Slide Rail Kit. The following products will provide solutions for any type of installation that may be encountered.

Looking for a rail kit for a Dell GK545 15″ Rack Console. Bought the console but did not come with rails for mounting in 4 post rack.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer a good solution for racking the GK545. Dell doesn’t sell the rails separately unless you can find one through Dell’s spare parts division. You might also try ebay. We have a 1U Universal Rail Kit that will mount the GK545 on a 4Post Rack, but the device will not operate as intended. So, we don’t recommend using it.
