HP ProLiant DL140 Quick Rails
HP DL140 4Post Installation Options.
The HP ProLiant DL140 is a 1U Rackmount Server. There are currently only three generations of the DL140 which makes this one of the newer classes of HP ProLiant Servers. HP has one of the better 4Post Rail Kits. The HP Rail Kit is a very simple design that will install into most Server Racks.

How can I identify the G# of my unit? It does net appear to be labled.

It should be on the front faceplate of the server at the end of the model number

Thanks. It only shows DL140. I will assume that is G1.

Can we rack DL140 G1 and G2 using rails which originaly comes with DL140 G3?

The G1 & G2 rails appear to be the same kit. However the G3 has a different design.
I would recommend you use a generic fixed rail: P/N 1UKIT-109
